Timeline
10:03 UTC - Currencycloud observed that the local GBP payments process had partially stalled, and some payments were not being completed.
10:36 UTC - Investigations discovered the impact was only on payments originating overseas, so our Local GBP provider was engaged to further investigate. Customers were seeing payment statuses of ‘Submitted’.
11:16 UTC - Local GBP provider confirmed they had an issue processing GBP payments originating overseas.
12:42 UTC - Local GBP provider resolved the issue and all delayed payments were processed successfully.

Issue resolved by Local GBP provider.
Root Cause Analysis
Technical issues at a 3rd party provider impacted their ability to complete sanction checks, temporarily affecting outbound payments originating overseas and causing the payments to be held.
